About Road Trip Home
“A Different Type of Rescue”
About Our Journey
Founded in 2011, Road Trip Home Animal Rescue is dedicated to giving homeless dogs and cats across Georgia a second chance at a happy life. As a 501c3 nonprofit we identify adoptable pets and transport them to our trusted rescue partners in regions where the demand for companion animals is high and where loving homes are waiting.
Each pet in our care receives:
- A full medical exam and vaccinations
- A minimum two-week quarantine to assess health
- Any necessary treatment to ensure they're ready for adoption
Once cleared by a licensed veterinarian, pets travel overnight in our air-conditioned van to rescue partners in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and other states with strong animal protection laws and high adoption rates.
Upon arrival at rescue partners, pets are quickly matched with loving families. We’re proud to be part of a compassionate network that gives these animals a second chance at life.
Our goal is simple: save as many lives as possible – one road trip at a time.
